A message from Chris Abbott:
Well done and thank you to all stall-holders, people who displayed boards and posters, helpers of all kinds and to all the members of the community who supported us in the chilly sunshine. We are also very grateful to Tennison Property for their sponsorship of the event.
We are delighted to announce that we raised, for the church and its linked charities:
£7,143!
In addition to this, Save the Children, the Children’s Society and Macmillan Cancer Support all had their own stalls and reported these were very successful.
The winner of Merton Meander was Tim, who correctly found that all the clues led to letters in the alphabet, but there was one letter missing: there was no L. So that was the Christmas word winner: Noël. The answer to the children’s number quiz was 57.
Guess the Name of the Teddy Bear was won by a little girl called Lili, who correctly guessed the name was Sunshine.
The Parish Puzzle competition was won by Cara.
