Join us on Saturday 5 December for our first Christmas Trail – a socially-distanced activity for all the family. Fun, food and fitness!

Walk around the parish and visit stalls in front gardens selling all kinds of food and produce, as well as other games and activities.

Here’s the list of stalls in each road:

  • 5a Sheridan Road: Parish Puzzle & Cakes (mainly gluten-free and nut-free)
  • 10 Mostyn Road: All kinds of Plants to get your garden ready for spring
  • 62 Mostyn Road: Christmas Cards (in aid of the Children’s Society)
  • 104 Dorset Road: Bottle Tombola (two games – one for adults and one for children)
  • St Mary’s Church, Church Path: A selection of hand-made Christmas wreaths, swags and table decorations
  • The Vicarage, Church Path: Warm up with some Mulled wine and nibbles, or a cup of tea or coffee
  • 9 Church Path: Home-made Mince Pies and little Christmassy cakes
  • Church Hall Car Park, Church Path: Visit Merton Park’s own Model Railway running 1/19 scale radio-controlled steam powered locomotives and trains, interspersed with battery powered locos whilst the steam engines are being refuelled. All the models are based on narrow gauge prototypes running on two-foot gauge tracks such as the famous Lynton & Barnstaple and Ffestiniog railways. We aim to provide a constant display of trains on both tracks to come and watch throughout the Trail.

  • 47 Erridge Road: A wide variety of homemade Sweets, including fudge, honeycomb, coconut ice, chocolates & decorated gingerbread houses
  • 34 Erridge Road: Freshly cooked Chickpea Curry to take away, served on a bed of turmeric-infused fried Basmati rice. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians

  • 4 Keswick Ave: Merton Meander: Every stall will display a clue to a letter of the alphabet, meander around and solve the clues, these will help you to answer the final festive question. There will also be a children’s version which will feature numbers. Pick up your entry forms here.

  • 40 Kenley Road: Christmas stall, with Carols on request, Christmas food and decorations
