St Mary's Sunday Club

Sunday Club and Children First Eucharist

Sunday Club meets on the !st Sunday of each month during term time. All children are welcome to join in the activities which start at 9.30am (unless otherwise indicated).

Each week, our structured sessions incorporate a welcome session, a bible story or verse, prayers and an age-appropriate related activity which will typically be a craft or game. We aim to create an environment which encourages a love of God and a sense of belonging.

We meet in the Church Hall (100m down Church Path from St Mary’s) from 9.20 onwards, and join the congregation in church in time for the Lord’s Prayer and Communion. The children enjoy sharing with the congregation at the end of the service what they have been thinking about and what they have made. Visitors are welcome to join us at Sunday Club at any time, and parents/carers can either stay with their children or attend the church service. We do ask that parents/carers of children under 3 stay with them in Sunday Club.

As a Church we take the safety of our young people very seriously. Safeguarding training and DBS checks are undertaken regularly by the Leaders, and are an ongoing requirement, updated regularly.

St Mary’s Children First Eucharist is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month (see website or pew sheet for details) and is a family-friendly communion service with a short address and participation by the children. It usually lasts 45-50 mins and begins at 9.30am (10am on Mothering Sunday, Easter Day, Harvest and Christmas).
